Team or the Sport of Water Skiing as a whole.

- There are four qualifying categories:
a. Professional Show:

d.
Perpetuation of the Sport of Water Skiing:
- Any member or
former member, who has been involved in any activity/organization that would help preserve
the
sport of water skiing, such as a Ski School, Junior Development Program or a
Regional/State/National

Ski
League (NSL), Wis. Water Ski Federation (WWSF), MN. Water Ski Association, etc.
- Individuals
nominated must have exhibited leadership, excellence, sportsmanship, inspiration and
integrity, have been good role models for the youth of the Chippewa Valley.
- Executive Board may decide to induct no one or that more than one person may be inducted
in a given year. To preserve the integrity of this special group of people, no more that 2
individuals may be nominated for categories C or D per year. Categories A & B are open
for any number of nominees.
- It is not necessary to re-nominate a cadidate each year, since the Ski Sprites will
carry forward the names of those nominees not selected. After five years, however, the
nomination must be reactivated and brought up to date, or it will be dropped.
Since these special
individuals have not sought recognition, it is incumbent on past, present and future
generations of
Ski Sprites to make an effort
to recognize them as special members of our organization. These special members should be
recognized for their efforts in advancing the Ski Sprites or the Sport of Water Skiing as
a whole. These efforts include on the water activities with younger members and their
contributions to the advances made in the abilities of our members and the quality of our
water ski shows. Also to be considered is the guidance they may have provided in serving
the organization as an administrative leader, dealing with the inner-workings of the Ski Sprites, while
serving the membership in elected and/or appointed positions. And special attention should
be given to the length of time they have maintained a membership in the organization.
These are just a few of the areas where contributions may have been made and should be
recognized.
