The Ski Sprites Water Ski Show Team is a non-profit club that puts on free weekly ski shows at Lake Altoona Beach all summer long! The Ski Sprites were founded in 1960 by a group of six young skiers who wanted to bring organized water skiing to the Chippewa Valley. The Sprites strive to promote fellowship and community while having fun sharing the love of the sport of show skiing.

The team also competes in tournaments on the State and National level. 1972 was the first year the Sprites went to the WI State Tournament. After learning what tournament skiing was like the team went back the following year as the first team to put individual songs/music to the acts of the show. They went from placing near last in 1972 to taking home 3rd place in 1973!

The Ski Sprites called Half Moon Beach home for 46 years and in 2006 made the move over to our current home site at Lake Altoona Beach! We hope to see you at one of our shows this summer!
